Radiostan will be screening between the 9th and the 20th of November in Madrid’s Art Hub La Casa Encendida as part of a non-profit exhibition on Russian arts and culture. It’s such a pleasure to know you’re bringing a new perspective to people who might never have the chance to visit the beautiful territories across central Asia and Russia.
Radiostan selected for Slovenia’s Capital’s International Film Festival. Still remember our stop there during our 2006 bike tour across Eastern Europe. I dedicate this success to Pityu (1973-2008) with whom we busked on the streets of Ljubljana.

Polifilm goeas on twitter! @PoliFilms
Two things really convinced me to join one of the few web-based addictions I had thus far resisted:
- one was an employer (will not name names) claiming he’d not hire anyone with less than 1000 twitter followers to run his promotion campaign for a new website
- the other was the way people at the Sheffield Doc/Fest seemed to chose the films they’d watch primarily based on tweets
So, just like I did on that cold park bench near my school many years ago when I toked on that first ever cigarette, I’ve given in to peer group pressure and embraced this extraordinary communication tool in order to better market myself in this fast moving world. You might think this sounds pathetic, cheeky, bold or a mixture of the above but please… no, really… PLEASE… if you’re cool enough to have a twitter account… will you please follow me?
Hey y’all, if you’re in the vicinity of Sheffield and want to come see Radiostan on the big screen it will be showing:
June 08 15:00 in Showroom2
June 10 10:30 in Library Theatre

Polifilm and Accidental Media join forces yet again to develop a thought provoking documentary about charity, its strengths, its weaknesses, its effect on those who give and those who receive.
A young couple (that’s me and Juszti) with questions about charity giving take their five-year old daughter to meet the young Ugandan girl they are sponsoring and learn about the effectiveness of international charity organisations.
Radiostan has been nominated for Best Documentary at the Sao Paulo Art Deco Film Festival!!! Watch this space…
Winners announced Friday, May 20th
Fingers crossed.

So happy Radiostan is still on the move and going to Cinema City Festival in Serbia, unfortunately I won’t be able to attend… it’s a real pity ’cause I know the Serbs know how to throw a party and these open-air festivals in beautiful summer Balkan settings are amazing. If you’re in the area the screening will be on 21st of June.
Radiostan has been selected for San Gió Film Festival in Verona, setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Screenings will be in July 2011 if any of our Italian (or non-Italian) connections and friends are holidaying nearby then drop in for a quick screening of this incredibly successful wee film!
Radiostan is carrying on its rampage of international film festivals. The latest success comes from across the pond in beautiful Brazil, in the city of Sao Paulo for the Art Deco Short Film Festival (I wonder if they’ll cover travel expenses…)
